This program in the Science section of the GED Connection series focuses specifically on Life Science topics. The program features a studio host, excerpted comments from guest experts, video, on screen graphics and animation to address various life science topics. There are two "Test Connection" segments, following discussions on photosynthesis and the Human Genome Project, where host sums up topic and poses question for students to consider. Other topics covered include the cell - both animal and plant , the food web, DNA, mitosis and meiosis. Also mentioned are changes over time in organisms and ecosystems, including evolution and extinction, which can be influenced by the impact of man.
