Global 3000 is Deutsche Welle's weekly magazine that explores the intersection of global development and the environmental and social conditions of the diverse cultures of the world. This episode of "GED Connection" covers measurement. It goes over the units of measurement that we use, when we use them, and how they're converted to other forms of measurement. It is explained that useful conversions will be supplied on the GED test for those who take it but that it's a good idea to commit them to memory anyways. The program takes a look at workers on a construction site as they use a tape measure to figure out feet and inches, a landscape architect as she figures out the area and volume of the space she is working on, and an architect as she explains the importance of volume and cubic feet and yards.
